I wanted to share this Five Little Pumpkins Halloween craft I did with my older daughter last year. It is based on the 5 Little Pumpkins rhyme. It’s very simple, we were able to complete it during baby’s nap time. Most importantly, it helps promote empathy and emotional intelligence as well as being educational.
STEM At Home: Density Tower with everyday liquids
I posted about this on my FB but figured I’d add a more permanent post. This density tower using everyday liquids experiment worked out so well. It was fun to set up and fun to test. The best part is that we didn’t have to buy anything. All of the liquids in this density tower are ones we have in our kitchen on a regular basis.
DIY Holiday Cards With Preschoolers!
I love doing arts and crafts with my four year old. We end up with so many projects that I don’t know what to do with them when we’re done. Some get saved. Many get tossed. I like to share some of the cool things we do with our friends and family. So this holiday season we decided to make our own DIY holiday cards to give out. These ideas are really easy to do with preschoolers and they look great even when your child “helps”. The great thing is you don’t have to do it perfectly for it to look good. For these cards Lulu helped me cut out the triangle and circle shapes but if your child is younger or gets frustrated with cutting (or just doesn’t feel like it) you can cut all the shapes out ahead of time.
