I haven’t had much time to update the blog. We’re in Toronto right now, staying with my parents and enjoying a taste of real winter. Toronto got a new coat of fresh powder overnight so there is plenty of soft fluffy snow to enjoy!
Snow is so much more enjoyable when you’re on vacation and don’t have to deal with it during morning rush hour. Getting the kids dressed in all the snow gear is a workout all onto itself. I definitely don’t miss having to do that every morning.
We still have a LOT that I want to do to make the most out of this wintery weather before we head back to sunny and warm Cali. But here’s what we’ve been up to so far!
Lulu got to decorate another New Year’s Tree with her grandpa!
We got a chance to play some board games in Snakes and Lattes!
I got my Second Cup coffee and we enjoyed a leisurely walk through downtown Toronto with big fat snow flakes swirling around. It was the wintery experience I was hoping for!
The kids got to explore in the snow. Lulu made snow angels and threw some snowballs. Booboo had her first taste of snow – literally!
There are still quite a few things on the list, including a Swiss Chalet holiday dinner and some Tim Horton’s timbits. Sledding, ice skating and of course building a snowman is at the top of Lulu’s list.
It isn’t every year that we get to have a white Christmas (even when we are in Canada) so it’s really nice to have some fresh snow just in time for Christmas Eve.
We wish you all a wonderful Chrismukkah and a happy holiday season!
